A.M. Lansing Dies; Newspaper Editor BETHEL Albert Mark Lansing, 54, of 13 Rockwell Road, editor of the weekly Bethel Home News and author of the best-selling adventure book. died early Wednesday in Danbury Hospital. Si Lansing suffered a stroke Ew. Friday.

Stillman Dies at 79; Author of Diet Books MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) Famed diet book author Dr. Irwin Maxwell Stillman has died at a hospital here after suffering a heart attack at home, authorities said Wednesday. He was 79. Stillman, whose books on water diets sold millions of copies, suffered the attack Tuesday night at his residence in nearby Bal Harbour and was pronounced dead at North Miami General Hospital.

A doctor in New York for many years, Stillman published his first book, "Dr. Stillman's Quick Weight Loss Diet, in 1967 and followed it with the publication of three other bestselling books on the subject of weight loss. Stillman, who boasted of successfully treating tens of thousands of patients with weight problems in his Brooklyn practice, advocated weight loss through avoiding all carbohydrates and eating instead high protein food and drinking large amounts of water.
