Keighbors in Maywood knew her as an old woman who managed somehow to get along on her $30 a month pension. When she died April 13 at the age of 75 they were somewhat surprised at the stories that her es-1ate was worth as much as 54,000.

They would have been more surprised had they been in Judge John Prystalski's court yesterday. There Attorney Gilbert Volke began a search for a fortune of $50,000 to $75,000 in $100 and $500 bills which he said she kept in a tin box. Brother Attacks Will. Volke is representing Mrs. Dis-brow's brother, William Straling of Terminal Island, Cal.

Straling is seeking to set aside her will, which left the estate to an old friend, Mrs. Edward M. Wright of Maywood. Mrs. Wright is the mother of Duane S.

Wright, real estate dealer at 1011 South 10th avenue, Maywood, whom Mrs. Disbrow named executor. Wright's inventory gave the $4,000 valuation. But Attorney Volke charged that the box of large denomination bills was found by the executor's daughter and her mother-in-law under a wash stand in Mrs. Disbrow's basement after her death.
