Dieck, son of Mr. and Mrs. William- Dieck of Dolton, were united in marriage, with the Rev. Jacob Blaauw reading the double ring service. The 'bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white tulle trimmed with seed pearls.

A wreath of "orange blossoms held in place her fingertip veil, and she carried white roses and baby's breath. The 'bride's sister, Gertrde, maid of honor, and the other bridal attendants were Mrs. Verda Silcox and Jeanne Bidder. All wore identical O-OWTLS of yellow marquisette and matching -bonnets. The maid of honor carried a bouquet of yellow roses and blue larkspur.

The bridesmaids' powers were yellow roses. Donna Rohlman, wearing pale blue taffeta, led the procession as flower girl. Irwin Lau, cousin of the bride- o-room, served as best man. Ushers were Nelson Van Milligan and Rietveld. During the ceremony Shirley Spoolstra sang as one of 'her solos, "Because," and after the ceremony was ended, sang "The 'Lord's Prayer.

The reception in the McKmley school was attended by 150 guests. Mr and Mrs. Dieck have -returned from a wedding trip to Cedar Lake, and- are now making their home on 'Lincoln avenue in Dolton. The bride is employed at the Harvey office of the Chicago-Riverdale Lumber company. Her husband is employed at the Acme Steel 'Riverdale plant.

Jacobs has been awarded the Soldiers' Good Conduct medal for "loyal and efficient service" and the new Combat Infantryman Badge for combat action in a major campaign. Louis Ditmar Village Board Meeting The meeting of the village board of South Holland was held on Tuesday, at eight o'clock in the village hall. were Trustee Morris Van De- Aa, Harold De Young, Leonard Van Duersen, J. W. Zeilenga, Tuems Santefort' and George Voss. President James Gouwens was absent.

Trustee De Young made a motion to appoint Trustee Van' Der Aa as chairman of the meeting. Auditor Estey Gouwens addressed the board and presented the annual audit. After a thorough discussion, Trustee Voss made a motion to accept the report and place on file. Trustee Voss made a motion to approve the bill in the amount of $135.00 submitted by the auditor for services rendered. Trustee De Young reported the Peterman case had been called; but was continued.

Trustee Van Duersen reported about twenty car owners were delinquent in obtaining vehicle stickers. The matter was referred to the police department for action. The reports of village officers were read and ordered filed on a motion made by Trustee De Young. Complaints on low tree limbs overhanging sidewalks were- referred to the police department. The annual Appropriation Ordinance was read and referred to the Ordinance committee.

Trustee Santefort made a motion to grant permits for alterations to the residences of L. S. Van Duersen and W. P. Gouwens and a barn extension of B.
