Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clow, the deceased was born in Anderson Valley and spent his lifetime in ranching in that area. Mr. Clow leaves his wife, Mrs.

Elizabeth Clow, in the family home in Philo. Other survivors include two children, Opal Burke of Ukiah and Marion Clow of Philo; two brothers, William Clow of Philo and Cary Clow Of San Rafael; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Hogan of Bon- viUe and Mrs. Maggie McAbee of Larkspur, and four grandchildren. mortuary of Ukiah was in charge of funeral arrangements.

PRUDENCE ROSE Final rites were Tuesday from Bversole mortuary for Mrs. Prudence Leora Rose, 79, Uklah resident for the past 15 years, who died here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leila Romer, Sunday. Interment was In Uklah lOOF cemetery, with Elbert Holland officiating at the services. Born in Byron, Contra Costa county, Mrs.

Rose was the daugh- her daughter. Her late husband, James Rose, preceded her in death 11 years ago in Ukiah. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Romer, Ukiah; Mrs. Otto Miller, and Mrs.

Wllma Newell, both of Oakland. also is survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Rev, Father Celestine Quinlan of St. Mary's Catholic church, will preside at graveside rites at Ukiah Catholic cemetery, where interment will be made. Former' owner of the mat on ivfain street, Mr. Hurt was born in Arkansas. He resided in this community 14 years.

The funds from this party will be used toward new band capes and athletic uniforms. Hnpland high school traveled to Potter Valley Nov 21 to play basketball. The girls played a losing pame with Potter, 48 to X. The team also lost to the Potter Valley boys, 29 to 39, but their luck changed when the A team tnnk ball. Hopland won the A game 39 to 13.

IIopliuKi farm Center members and their families enjoyed their annual Thanksgiving dinner given at the high school. Nearly 100 people enjoyed this lovely meal, planned and served by a committee under Mrs. Jack Lee. A short business meeting was held after the dinner to elect officers for the coming year. A life-long resident of Mendocino county, Mr. Pardini was born in Greenwood. He was well known in this area as a sportsman and resort operator.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Eitner of Redwood City; a brother Earnest Pardini of Boonville; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Cole of Aituras, and one grandchild. He died enroute to a Fort Bragg hospital. be no regular meeting of the Farm Center in December.

The cars collided and Dorothy Childers, 17, sister of the car's driver, died as a result of injuries. Dr. and Mrs. Meese and young Chi'ders were injured.

Mrs. Meese was considered in condition when she and her husband were taken to the Santa Rosa hospital. Childers was talten to the Mendocino county hospital, where he was treated toi' a broken back and internal injuries. Mrs. Meese is reported "doing nicely" by hospital officials, who report that while is out of critical condition, her injuries are still serious.
