Illini Legion Post Protests Among protests over the replacement of Col. Hannah by Col. Frederick in the school veterans' job was one from Illini American Legion post at the university, whose commander, 'Creighton Webb, declared yesterday that the post "plans to keep the issue alive." Hannah charged that the word "interim," describing his appointment, had been inserted in the board minutes after the meeting ended, and added that "I will have further facts to reveal concerning that meeting when the board meets here Jan. 5." President Willard said Hannah was not interested in an interim appointment when they discussed the job before the appointment. The president pointed out that Frederick had been head of campus housing and, as far as he was concerned, might return to that post.
