0 THE EVENING SUN, BALTIMORE, MONDAY, JULY 15, 1957 House Ad Probe To Cover More Than Cigarettes 'Washington, -July 15 Representative Blatnik Minn.) said today the House Government Operations subcommittee won't stop at cigarettes in its inquiry into what he termed misleading, advertisements. Blatnik is chairman of the group. Medical supplies, furniture and clothing ads are likely to be targets of later investigation, Blatnik said, after the completion of hearings starting Thursday on filter cigarettes. Claims for pills that are supposed to make reducing easy by cutting hunger, claims for tranquilizer or "happiness" pills, and markdowns on products "list prices" that never existed were listed among items under scrutiny by the House investigators.
