Atwater and 130 others of Huron township, Erie county, to authorize the trustees of said township to subscribe $20,000 to the Huron and Oxford Rail-Road Company; which was referred to Mr. Bill. The speaker presented a petition for the Ohio Life Insurance and Trust Company of Cincinnati, for leave to issue bills for circulation to the amount of one-forlh of its cnpital, i was referred to the cmnmittee on Mr. Bill reported a bill to incorporate the town of Bellcvur; and a bill to authorize the trustees of Huron i tu subscribe stock to the Huron and Oxford rail-ruid: a i to amend the act to incorporate the i a i Road Company; a bill tu incorporate the Sari- dusky Insurance Company: and a i to amend Ihe act to incorporate the Toledo, a a Cleveland Rail-Road Company; which were read the first time.

A bill to amend the charter of Springfield and Mansfield rail-road, wus read the third time and passed. A resolution was passed instructing our representatives in Congress to urge a reduction uf 50 per cent on postage--yeas 38 nays 31. A resolution was submitted by Mr.
