March April Arc the best months in which to purify your blood, for at no other season docs the system so much need the aid of a reliable medicine like Hood's SarsaparlUa, as now. During the long, cold winter, the blood becomes thin jind impure, the body becomes weak and tired, the appetite bo lost.

Hood's Sarsaparilla Is peculiarly adapted to purify and enrich the blood, to create a good appetite and to overcome that tired feeling. Hood's Sarsaparilla Has a larger sale than any other Sarsaparilla or blood purifiei, and it increases in popularity cveiy year, for it is the ideal Spring Medicine. I have for a long time been using Hood's Saisaparllla, and bclievo me, I would not be without it. As a spring medicine it is Invaluable." E. A.

A third effort at almost any under- a i is nearly always successful, but was a slight diveiaion from the lule in tho case ot another fire in this city yesterday. Three times within a very tow days an attempt has been made to burn the block ot old buildings aa the "Hen and Chickens," owned by W. T. West and located on the corner of Columbus avenue and Washington Row. Yesterday at 10:30 a.

m. a (ire broke out in the thiid story of the block, over The'Ftiir and Everett's grocery, and an alarm turned in by Col, Herbert called the tiro companies from the NOB. 1 and 2 houses, The tiro had gained considerable headway in an unoccupied garret and directly oyer the hallway where the tin- was started in an upholstered chair only a day or two before, but by brisk work by the department was soon brought under control without buru- ing more than a large hole the rooi and inside walls. The greatest damage was done by water. From this I.

D. Everett Sou, the grocers, suffered the most, their Hoor being Hooded and many of their shelf goods water soaked. The i carries insurance to the amount of $3,750 and the loss is fully covered. Tlie Fair, of which llerman Kugel ie the piopnetpr, sustained damage to the extent of nboufc $500. The stock is insured for $5,000.

D. Alcott fc Son's otock of gents' furnishing goods waadamaged slightly. The damage i not be over $100 and is covered by insurance. Schmidt i i store and Pascoe's photograph gallery were also slightly damaged by water, while Cbas. Wetterer, the news dealer, escaped the Hood entirely.

The damage to the building is covered by insurance. The fire was clearly the work of an incendiary and was probably started in the same manner as the former tire, by a bottle of combustible liquid. The perpetrator has been apprehended, but the authorities are at work and developments are expected later. THE steamer Gazelle will arrive here next Saturday, April 4, and wilt return to Detroit, leaving this city at 8:30 Sunday morning. The boat will make regular trips, leaving the Big Four dock at that hour on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until June 1st when the steamer Frank Kirby will take the route.

--New Hun, Itociiiter Today. The only day or time that elector? will be permitted to register is today at the polling places in each ward between tho hours ot 8 a. and i p. in. a 4 p.

aud 9 Under the law as it 'was last spring the board of elections might ieaue orders for registration at any time during the week intervening between the last day of registration aud the Saturday night before election and have the same recorded on this Saturday night, but the amendment passed by the legislature this winter, does away with that part of the law, so that there is no possible way tor an electior to get registration only on these two days Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28; and at no other time can removal certificates be issued or received. The elector's name mitst an- pear in the legister in the ward in which he offers to vote and he must offer to vote in the pieciuct in which he lives at the time he so offers, A person may register or have his removal certificate recorded on either of these two days in tho precinct in which he will reside on election day. As an illustration, a person is registered in the Seventh ward and before election day he removes with his family to the Second ward, he must apply to the registrars in the Seventh ward for his removal certifi- ate and take the same to the registrars in the Second ward and have tho same recorded today. The board of elections intend to Force its rules strictly as to members of various election boards in the city being members of a committee of any political party. Every person is a nember of any such committee must resign from the same or the board will emove him.

The board does not -hink that a person can serve upon a political committee and faithfully discharge his duty as registrar, judge or clerk of election. W. W. BOWEN, President of Board of Elections, Hood's Sanaparilla will cuso, when in power of medicine, ula, salt rheum, sored, bolls, pimples, all humors, dyspepsia, biliousness, sick headache, indigestion, general debility, catarrh, rheumatism, kidney and liver complaints, and all diseases or affections aiiblng from impure blood or low condition o( tho system. I could not cat or sleep, and all the dreaded The Spring Medicine diseases of lite seemed to have a mortgage on my system.
