HECTOR ALLEN Viola Loella Case was born in he state of Wisconsin August 6, 1871, and passed away at her home in Courtland township, Republic county, Kansas, May 9, 1926, aged 54 years, 9 months and 3 da 8. She was united In marriage to Hector Allen, December 24, 1890, at Formoso, Kansas. To this union were born eight children, Mrs.

Ida Landon of Formoso; Mr. Fred E. Allen of Courtland; Mrs.Meda Enery of Phillipsburg, Mrs. Leta Carlson of Courtland Mr. Lester Allen of Courtland; the three younger children, Cecil, Myrtle and Viola are at home.

Mrs. Allen united with' the M. E. church early in life. She lived ana died in the christian faith, frequently expressing a desire to go to Him who doethall things well.

She leaves to mourn her departure an aged mothtr, a loving husband, two sisters, a brother, her eight children, a like number of grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Allen was paralytically stricken. in January, 1922, and since that time has been almost a continuous sufferer. She bore her afflictions without complaint and with remarkable patience.

R. M. Glenn, Sec'y. A.R. Anderson, wife and daughters Madelaine and Lorraine and Miss Gladys Houghton, are getting ready for a trip across the Atlantic ocean; stopping at Chicago and Niagara Falls, and will leave New York on the large boat' "Majestic" June 5.

She has gone t6 reap her reward and be with her blessed Redeemer. The funeral, which was held at the Methodist church in Formoso, at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, was very largely attended by Mrs. Allen's large circle of acquaintances. The sermon was preached by Rev. Fred Blanding of Man-kato.

Interment in the Balch cemetery, north of town. Mrs. Allen was raised in this community, and for several years after her marriage resided here. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, devoting her entire life to the welfare of her family and friends. The most profound sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives in the loss of their companion.

May 19; Addison is a son of V. E. Carlson and wife. Mrs. Virgil Vincent entertained the Needle Craft Club last week at their regular meeting.
