(AP) -Production of Rambler American bodies in Kenosha will be suspended from Nov. ^ to Nov. 28, an official of the American Motors Corp. announced Tiiursday. J.W. Mueller, general works manager of the Kenosha plant, said the suspension for four working days would "permit us to bring American field stocks into balance with our other car lines," He said the shutdown would affect only the smaller portion of AMC auto production and that the output of Rebel, Ambassadors and Marlin car lines would continue "at the full rate." The period of the suspension includes Thanksgiving Day and a weekend period. Mueller said he did not know how many em ployes would be affected. Earlier this week, AMC automotive sales vice president Thomas Coup said in Detroit that deliveries in the first 10 days of November reflected a substantial increase in sales of the intermediate Rebel line over one year ago. It also included, he said, the highest Ambassador sales for any initial 10-day period on record. He made no mention of the American. i! Adriatic Sea Flooding Farms ROVIGO, Italy (AP) - A doi- en zillages in the southernmost Po delta were evacuated hurriedly during the night as the waters of the stormy Adriatic sea backed up over thousands of acres of farmland. Dikes guarding dozens of other villages were threatened. While the salty Adriatic was washing gradually over the walls of the dikes, officials said there was no immediate threat to the river embankments further inland. Most of the delta land is almost a yard below sea level The Po flows high above the plains between built-up embankments and spills Into the Adriatic Sea through 10 outlets. The winds and tossing waters that menaced the delta were having an opposite effect on Venice, north of the delta. Venice was left badly exposed to the sea by the Nov. 4 floods that crippled a third of Italy. The canal city had been awash its protective dikes were torn away or weakened. Officials at Venice said the winds now blowing from the northeast were keeping sea water from piling up and surging toward the city. They said the an>defy since Nov. 4 has been over the danger of strong winds from the south carrying the Adriatic once more into Venice. More than 48 hours of rain drenched the low-lying coastal delta south of Venice. It had stopped during the night after 30 hours, but only briefly. Despite the urgings of rescue teams and local officials, hmflreds U villa|;ers and truck'] their homes and fields.
