It is believed to be the oldest Motor vehicle still running in the county.

It was purchased as a touring car by Leonard Kreitlein local merchant, and years later converted into a light delivery truck. A 1925 International Truck still in service, will be displayed by Pylant Motor Co. AIR COVER A feature of the big parade here Saturday will be an "aerial cover" of the parade provided by 477th Base Unit, Air Force Reserve, Birmingham Commanded by Major J. R. Grimmer.

The planes will execute maneuvers and will be an added at- 1 traction at the Festival Saturday afternoon. President J. Oldacre secured this attraction only Thursday. GOVERNOR WEDS--Cullman's Governor James E. Folsom, 39- year-old widower was married Wednesday to Jamelle Moore, 21, an employee of the State Highway Department in Montgomery.

They were married in the Rockfprd Baptist Church at 4:30 P. M. The bride is a native of Berry, and met -Folsom when he was campaigning for Governor two years ago. The new "first and the Governor will leave tomorrow on a honeymoon trip. "Big Jim" was to have been present for the Festival here Friday and Saturday.

Whether he and his bride will come to Cullman this week end, is unknown. Board Race Takes Official Count Runoff Candidates Are Knight And Ellard; Windsor And Sparks; Scott, Andrews, Brandon, And Trimble Or Glasscock; Elliott Walks In Only three local races were decided without a run-off in Tuesday's Democratic Primary Election. Graf Hart, incumbent, swamped Clanton Goodwin in the Tax Assessor's race by an unofficial vote of 3099 to 1825. Grady Moss fpr Coroner won-over Ernest Hauk by a vote of 2787 to 1796. The race between L. J.

Carr and T. O. Waldrop for member of the County School Board was a nip and tuck affair. The unofficial vote is, Carr 2179; Waldrop, 2280. E.

T. Knight lead the field of four for Chairman of the Board of Revenue, with 1616 votes to Oscar A. Ellard's 1472. They will be in the run-off on June 3rd. S.

L. Bradley was third with 1122 followed by Gable with 645. C. T. Scott led the field of ten in the Associate Member Board of Revenue race with 1672; followed in order by Geo.

M. Andrews, 1091; J. Brandon, 1067; D. S. Trimble i 1063.

The official count may include J. C. Glasscock with all unofficial tallies. Four of the above will be in the run off for the two member places. Birdo Windsor with 2363 votes lacked about 200 votes of receiving a clear majority in tfte six-man race for Collector, He will be in the run off with John Sparks, who received 1136 votes.

Carter Manasco with 2476 led Carl Elliott 2309 in the Congressional race in the county, but was badly defeated in the nine County district, by a vote of nearly two to one, Manasco carried only Cullman, Blount and Pickens Counties --all. by a small vote. Only 5,000 votes were cast in the Primary, wherein the total vote in an interesting county race is usually around 7,000. Mack R. Heatherly, Cullman Candidate for president Alabama P.

S. Commission, lost the county to Gordon Persons, incumbered by a vote of 1100 to 2781. John Sparkman with 2741 swamped Phillip Hamm, Folsom aspirant for U. S. Senate, who received 866 votes.

Scattered reports from over the state indicate that Cullman's Governor J. E. Folsom, was defeated for one of the delegates to the party's national convention. The Queen The President Thousands Visitors Are Cullman Girl Wins- Letter At Florence State Teachers College At a recent banquet in an uptown cafe for basketball players of the State Teachers College at Florence the letter was award ed to' Mildred Nixon, Route 7, Cullman. Miss Nixon was one of four cheerleaders.

Thronging Cullman Streets For 8th Strawberry Festiva Roofs Must Be Cleared For Parade; No Parking To Be Allowed Saturday On Decorated All Decorated Streets Along Parade Route Cullman's Eighth Annual version of the Cullman County Strawberry Festival will get underway tomorrow morning with thousands of people assembling to view the Industrial and School Exhibits, followed by the Junior Parade in which 4,000 children representing everf school in the county will take Floats will be included from every school. The Cullman City School will have three floats.

Climaxing Friday's festivities will be the crowning of the Bang and Queen at 8:00 P. M. at St. Bernard Gymnasium. The Grand'Parade starts at 10:00 A.

Saturday, in which 21 huge floats will be the center of attraction, and five bands will be interspersed therein. Roiite of the parade has already been published. The Flower Show opens at 11 A. with the Luncheon for Distinguished Guests at 1:00 P. M.

at 2:30 a Band concert will be givea at High School Field, a Community Singing at 5:30 and a Stredt Dance at 7:00 will be followed by the Grand Ball at St. Bernard at P. M. By police orders, no one will be allowed to congregate on any rooE Saturday morning to view the parade and no cars may park on decorated streets and especially along the route of the parade. These orders will be inforced by the Police Department.

Ayers Succumbed At 9:00 A. M. today a passenger car driven by W. J. Ayers, 45, resident of Holly Pond, Route 1, collided with a TVA contract truck near the East Point intersection on the GuntergVille Highway.

Moss and Drinkard Ambulances rushed nine victirrxs to the Cullman Hospital, where Ayers died at 11:30 o'clock. Others in the Ayer car injured were: Mary Ayers, 20, daughter of the deceased, critically injured, of internal injuries, deep lacerations, teeth knocked out; A. L. Clark, shaken up; Audrey Clark, 20, broken jaw, badly cut and bruised. All of this group are residents of Holly Pond, Route I- Those injured in the truck ares Bertal Nunnelley, Cullman, Route Cecil Heaton and Wm.
