adjourned FELL UNDER A CAR Particulars of Brakeman Accident Lyman Nugent the Ft brakeman injured at Upper Sandusky Sunday night an account of which appeared in The Times-Demo-crat last evening is well known In this city having lived here a number of years and was at one time employed as a harness maker at harness shop on East Market street Nugent was married to Miss Bertha Geiger over a year and a evening Lyman Nugent when about to open a switch west of the city fell under a car the wheels running Over his right foot Upon examination it was found that the toes of his right foot were so crushed will go immediately to their own home at 517 North McDonald street where the groom has a home elegantly furnished in readiness AMONG THE RAILROADS BIG TUNNEL The great railroad tunnel under the city of Baltimore costing over $6000000 and in the construction of which 1500 men have been engaged for three years is now about completed The tunnel is a part of the Baltimore Ohio railroad system and will do away with the slower method of taking trains across the harbor on big steamboats capable of carrying eight or ten of the heaviest cars and a couple of locomotives By passing under the city the Baltimore A Ohio trains from Washington and the West to Philadelphia and New York will save 10 minutes in time Steam locomotives will not enter the tunnel Two large and powerful electric motors will draw the trains through so that tbe passengers will not be annoyed with smoke and ga Hundreds of electric lights will make this hole under the streets as bright as day 1 The tunnel may not be used for a yeaur or two because of litigation over property at two or three points one of which is the proposed site for the north station It will also take some time to lay the road bed and tracks and throughly equip the tunnel with electric light and appliances The engineers say it will be one of the mo6t perfect railroad tunnels in the world It will be utilized for rapid local transit as well as
