Industry experts say a low-power station can be launched for as little as $50,000 compared with hundreds of thousands of dollars for a convention! station. The new stations will be limited to 1,000 watts, compared with 5 million watts for a conventional station that can put out a signal covering a radius of hundreds of miles.
