The existing rights-of-way will not be widened or relocated, except for about 0.8 mile In Bozrah, where, the existing right-of-way will be widened. For 4.1 miles in Water-ford and 1.8 miles in Manchester the circuit will be suspended from existing transmission line structures; for the remainder of the route the circuit will be suspended from new wood pole H-frame structures similar to existing structures. The proposed construction Is necessary In order to assure reliable transmission of the output of the Millstone generating station upon the completion of Millstone Unit 3. Copies of the application, which Include maps showing the location of the proposed route, will be served upon the public officials named in SS 16-501 (b), including the chief executive officers of each of the municipalities in which the proposed route is located, prior to the time the application is filed with the Connecticut Siting Council. Copies of the application will be available for inspection on and after September 3rd, 1981, at the offices of the Connecticut Light and Power Company in Willimantic and East Hampton and the Hartford Electric Light Company in New London and Hartford.
