"When Dreams Come True," which will toe presented at the Faurot next Saturday afternoon and night, February 26, is a combination of melodrama, farce, music and dancing.

The first act takes place on the deck of an ocean liner, bound from Havre to New York. The principal character, "Kean Hedges," is a swift young American, who has been entangled with a Parisian dancer, to the intense anger of his father in New York, who, hearing of the escapade, has cut off his son's revenue. The youthful adventurer thus has found it necessary to go home in the steerage, where, of course, he is very miserable. But, In the first cabin there Is a charming girl, who, unknown to herself, is ing made use by a woman smug- to land a string oC valuable in America. The young man sees her from his place on the steerage deck, although he cannot approach her.

Later they meet upon the dock in Nftw York, and Hedges assists Beth to outwit the customs officers, thus earning her regard and the complications of their true love immediately begin. There is a lively chase for the string of pearls, participated in by young girl, the female smuggler and a score of customs house detec- The costly bauble passing through the hands of most of the characters 'before matters are straightened out at the finish. There are three acts in "When Dreams Como True," and in these four complete sets of scenery are shown. The ballroom 'scene in the final act Is painted on silk instead of canvas. This original and expensive plan has been employed to secure a lighting effect of great beauty.

The book of "When Dreams Come True" Is by Philip Bartholomae, author of "Over Night" and "Little Miss Brown," and the music is by Silvio Hein, the composer of many of Marie Cahill's greatest successes. The company engaged to present "When Dreams Come True" numbers 50 people, most of them artists who have gained fame as players of ability. There are two dozen pretty girls to grace the stage, a score of dancing numbers, no end of whistleable, ear-tinkling musical numbers and an assortment of the very latest and up-to-the-minute feminine finery of the most costly kind. jtry. The Metro picture for next week is also limited to one day.

The star is Mme. Olga Petrova, another prime favorite with Faurot audiences and an actress of rare power. Mme. The Faurot is now In exclusive possession of contracts which will give it a series of entertainment that are not excelled In any city of the country. For today the Faurot will have the last presentation of the admirable Metro feature, "Black Fear." It is indeed a wonder play in point ot gripping iterest, settings and photography while the cast, which Includes Grace Elliston, Edward Brennon, Grace Valentine, Paul Everton and John Tansey, is truly a remarkable one. It is accompanied by Paramount news pictures. For Sunday and Monday the Faurot will have the ever welcome favorite and celebrated dramatic actor of heroic roles, Dustin Farnum.

In his portrayal of virile American characters Mr. Farnum stands without a peer. It is such a part that he ppears In the new Palles production ar the Paramount program, "The lall of the Cumberlands."
