Junior tailback Gregg Drew leads the Terriers in rushing with 751 yards (3.7 per carry). Sophomore quarterback Jim English is 27 of 79 for 472 yards and one touchdown. Arison, who could play, is 29 of 61 for 345 yards and one touchdown. Continued From Page Dl BU coach Rick Taylor, speaking via phone hookup from the Boston writer's luncheon on Tuesday, when asked about the feud, called Sweitzer "the best player in New England," but refused further comment. UConn Women Post Field Hockey Win Cornell Still Tries To Shake Memory Of Player's Death Continued From Page Dl said Blackman. "They're more awesome on defense. They have an all-league end in Fred Leone and Greg Burkus plays just as well. Dennis Tulsiak is an all-league tackle and Serge Mihaly is playing just like him.

We have great respect for Yale." Blackman described his team as "net very good" because it lost 35 players through graduation. "Every one Of our guys will have to play over his head Saturday to be on the same field with Yale," he added. NOTES Talk of going undefeated and being nationally ranked permeated Tuesday's conference. Cozza said he wasn't concerned that Yale was not ranked among the Top 20 teams in the nation. "It's how you finish the season that counts," he said.

"I'm hoping at the end of the year, if we continue to roll, that our players get their due recognition." The Elis, Hawaii (6-0), Clemson (8-0) and Pittsburgh (7-0) are the only unbeaten-untied teams remaining among the nation's major college. Yale stands third in the latest Lambert Trophy voting for the best Division I-A team in the East with 49 points. Pitt (59) and Penn State (54) are ahead of them. From Wire Services NEW YORK Pat Corrales, the hand picked choice of his predecessor, Dallas Green, to replace him, will be named manager of the Philadelphia Phillies within the next two days, it has been learned on excellent authority. Green, who spent 26 years in the Phillies' organization and managed them to a World Championship in 1980, personnally recommended Corrales as his managerial successor to Executive Vice President Bill Giles and General Manager Paul Owens before leaving Philadelphia to become general manager of the Chicago Cubs on Oct. 15. Under Corrales in 1979, the Rangers finished third, five games out of first place, in the American League West and fourth, 20 Vz games behind, in 1980, after which he was replaced by Don Zimmer this past season. A mentor, scout Mike Brito, saidlie told Valenzuela that even if he's on his death bed he had better show up for his next major appearance, as grand ma shal of the East Los Angeles Christmas Parade in the city's major Latino area. "Even if he's dying, we'll carry him there," Brito said. "He has to make people forget that he missed the otliet parade." ORIOLES Baltimore Manager Earl Weaver lost his Maryland driv' er's license for 60 days Tuesday for failure to submit to a blood-alcohol test, Motor Vehicle Administratiodof-ficials said.

MVA spokesman Steve Horwitz said the 51-year-old Weaver appeared -before Edward Klima, an agency hea ing officer who suspended the veterfl baseball manager's license. Horwitz said Weaver did not plai to appeal the suspension. The suspension takes effect American League President Lee MacPhail notified Sullivan late Tuesday that seven major league teams applied for the designation and five were selected by lot Boston, California, Los Angeles, Minnesota and Seattle. In a related development, Sullivan told reporters the team is still talking with representatives of second baseman Jerry Remy, one of four Boston players to declare free agency. Team negotiator John Harrington said the Red Sox most likely would not make an effort to sign the other three free agents Bill Campbell, Frank Tanana and Joe Rudi after the Nov.

Miraculous surgery transformed Col. Austin, a dying astronaut, into something called a cyborg, part human, part machine-powered with atomic, electromechanical devices that endowed him with superpowerful legs, a right arm of incredible strength and a left eye of penetrating vision.

Now 3V2 years since he last battled an international villain, mad scientist, monster or alien creature on the last episodes of the series, Majors shows up tonight in another slam-bang, bone-crunching ABC adventure series, only this time as a non-bionic, Hollywood stunt man in a new program called "The Fall Guy." I Jfc? judge eu vmn Courant auu 1 1 8. iqftl The Han-- TV nEVIElV Harford Co t. Name- me ro' -ine mo. 0t now Here LEE MAJORS Colt has to moonlight as a bounty hunter because there are sometimes long, arid spells between well-paying stunt-man jobs. His boss and chief bail bondswoman is a flaky character named Samantha Jack, who is played by Jo Ann Pflug.

(Samantha: is so flaky and so unlucky with her choice of clients that it's surprising that her bail-bond business is worth even a pflugged nickel.) The simple-minded but slam-bang plot moves along at two levels, focusing on Colt's dual rolesas; stunt man and lawman. The extended chasese1. quence one reminiscent of Burt Reynolds being pursued by Jafikie Gleason and a posse of patrol cars in "Smokey and the Bandit II" does have one unusual twist to it as a helicopter plays a bizarre role in its conclusion. The most amusing, and innovative part of the show, in fact, is how the stunt man uses the bullet-ridden helicopter to punish three thugs who wind up with a most elevating experience. The idea for their comeuppance comes right out of a well-known TV must be one of those rare occasions when a TV drama borrows from a commercial rather than a commercial imitating life as seen through the tube.

Majors plays his character mostly as a good old boy, and even sings the program's country- and western flavored theme song, "The Unknown Stuntman." Overall, the show looks like light, es-, capist fare for viewers who like dramas of cartoonlike simplicity acted out by flesh-and-blood characters. Beginning next week, the show will be broadcast by ABC in its regular time spot on Wednesdays from 9 to 40 p.m. "The Fall Guy," a new serin on ABC, will pre-; migre tonight from to 11 on WNH-TV Cnaaael 9: If tonight's two-hour special Season premiere is a fair indication of the show's style, then Majors' old "Six Million Dollar Man" fans ought to be willing to invest tube time in this epic of daredevil stunts, deeds of derring-do, fistfights, fires, barroom brawls and a seemingly endless car chase. Besides delighting more adolescent tastes, the series should also keep many stunt men happily employed, since the whole plot is built around a succession of rough-and-tumble action. Besides packing the plot with stunts galore and what might well be one of the longest car chases in TV history, the producers have also sprinkled the two hours with cameo appearances by several guest stars including Farah Fawcett, the one-time Charlie's Angel and former Mrs.

Farah Fawcett-Majors. Farah's appearance is. saved for the very end of the show as she and Lee banter and flirt with -one another in a little slice of video camp. Other guests include Eddie Albert, who plays a villainous sheriff; singer Paul Williams, who plays singer Paul Williams; James Coburn as himself; and singer Lou Rawls as a country singer who falls in with a gang of evil dudes who want to use him as a front for their dope peddling scheme. Majors plays stunt man Colt Seavers, an offbeat hero with some interesting idiosyncrasies.

For one, Colt even despite having a name that should warm the cockles of the hearts of any gun lover carries only blanks in the pistol he uses as a part-time bouity hunter. As a sideline, Colt tracks down miscreants who have jumped bond, a plot angle that keeps him on the road when he's away from risking life and limb on the set And speaking of blanks, Colt has an ally of sorts, his cousin Howie Douglas Barr), a super dud..
