H. Carrol] and children visited in New Athens Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hanft Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tarr of Central City, Neb., were dinner guests recently at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Roy Hunt. Mrs. Flossie Middleton spent Sunday with Mrs. Nell Williams. In the afternoon they attended church services at the Schumm Nursing Home conducted by the Hickory Hill Church and visited patients there. Mrs. John Kovach and son, Randy visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Everett Smith 1 B Mt. Vernon. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Lyerla of IVenton, lU., spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mn. Li. M. Marlow and other Vdatives. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Gregory and family visited in Ina Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. Robert McLaughlin of Ina, and Ricky McLaughlin who is attending school at Murray, Ky. : Mrs. Harry Snodsmith of Manteno, 111., who was, called here by the death of her niece, Mr*. Delbert Richards of Mt. Vemoni has been visiting this we* with another niece, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sanders and her brother, Ed Staley. She also visited another brother, Ira Stale>in Fairfield. Rev. and Mrs. Laverl Cook ot St Francisville, HI., and son Jack Cook and son, Ricky ol Peoria, 111., spent Monday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Bell. The Cooks are all former residents here when he was pastor of the local E.U.B. Church. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Breeze are the peirents of a son boiTi November 2 at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 lb., 5 !i oz. and has been named Toiy Wendell, The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs, Cecil Marthi and Mr. and Mrs. Oran Breeze aiid' tije great grandparents are Rev. aind Mrs. Lester Breeze, all of Bluford. Mr. and Mrs, Everett Howell visited relatives in Hartford, Bl., Tuesday. Mrs. Lucille Ceeriell Turner ef Elgin, n.. spent Tuesday evening with Mrs, Marie Gillisple and visited other friends too. Mrs. Turner was a former primary teacher in the local sdiool and has many friends here, Mr, and Mrs. Fred Colweil visited recently with Mr. and Mrs, Frank Costley in Anna, HI,, where Mrs. Costley is a patient In a nursing home. They are former residents of Bluford and Mr. Costley resides at Dongola, m.
