C. Coble Dies At 97 MONTICELLO -Culver C. Coble, 97, former resident of 525 W. Broadway. died at noon Thursday a nursing home in Pontiac, Ill.

He had been there three years. Born Nov. 24, 1872 in Carroll County, he was the son of Anthony and Harriet Goslee Coble. He resided in Carroll County before he moved here in 1915. He was well known in this area as a cattle broker and was a member of the Monticello Christian Church.

His marriage on Oct. 19, 1898 was to Stella Million who died March 29, 1957. Survivors are two sons, Dale, Streator, Ill. and Reid, Bedford; two grandchildren and nine Friends may call at Miller great Funcral Home after 4 p.m. Friday.

Hold Funeral Rites For Murdered Son Of Church Official Funeral rites for Dennis Jones, 26, son of Dr. Gerald Jones, former superintendent of the local district of the Methodist church, were held Friday at 11 a.m. in the First UM church in Fort Wayne. Jones was shot to death May 5 when he apparently surprised burglars entering the home of a Fort Wayne dentist, where he was employed, The Rev. V.

A. Carlson, city, superintendent of the Logansport district of the United Meth- fuodist church, attended the neral services. Death Takes Harold Remy Remy, 72, 1203 Hill resident here 34 years, died a at 6:45 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Hospital, where he had been a patient since Jan. 19.

He had been in failing health for one year. Born Nov. 27, 1897, in Ottawa, I he was the son of Peter and Esther Cooper Remy. His mar- i riage on July 9. 1921 in Goshen, was to Maxine Ruple who died Oct.

16, 1968. He moved to this city in July, 1928, when the opened the Kroger Store, which he managed until his retirement on Dec. 1, 1962. After that he was associated with Plymouth-Chrysler, as a car salesman. He was a member of the First Christian Church, IOOF Lodge 47, the Kiwanis Club and the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Paul Zimmer, Coldwater, a son, Duane (Spud), Maumee, Ohio; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Esther Lloyd, Oswego, a brother, Ralph, Warsaw, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Foster and Good Funeral Home after p.m. Saturday.

SAGESTER, OF BUNKER HILL, EXPIRES AT PERU BUNKER HILL--George Herbert Sagester, 61, resident here for the past ten years, died at noon Thursday at Dukes Hospital, Peru, after an illness of two weeks.

Born at Onward Oct. 21, 1908, he was the son of Levi and Rose Etta Rife Sagester, Survivors are two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Anna Shoemaker, Minot, N. Mrs. Mildred York, Peru; Charles, Bunker Hill; Lester, Glendale, Ariz.

One brother preceded him in death. He was a welder for the Penn Central and was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Peru. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at Allen Funeral Home.

Rites will be there at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. H. P. Gaines officiating.

FINAL FESTIVAL FILMS SCHEDULED AT IU KOKOMO The final two offerings of the Sesquicentennial Foreign Film Festival at Indiana University at Kokomo will be shown Tuesday and Thursday in Havens Auditorium. The festival is to the public, free of open charge.

2, Star City, lifelong resident of this community and retired farmer, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Logansport, after an illness of several weeks. He was born May 23, 1891 in Pulaski County, the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Francis Fox. Odell, 94, last survivor of a pioneer Carroll County family, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday at. the Carroll County Home, where he had been a resident since February, 1966.

His grandfather was one of the first white settlers of the county. His father, John Odell, was a prominent lawyer and a Carroll County historian. He was born here Nov. 30, 1875. When hotels and restaurants were dominant in the Delphi scene he was employed by them.

He was a member of the Delphi Baptist Church, the Delphi Masonic Lodge, and received his 50-year membership pin in the Odd Fellows Lodge on Jan. 17, 1955. That lodge will have services at 8 p.m. Friday at the Sullivan-Lloyd Funeral Home. There are no survivors except cousins.

A sister, Miss Josephine Odell, died in 1956. Friends may call at the Sullivan-Lloyd Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Friday, Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Dove officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.

3 ROWBOAT OARS, MOTOR OF MOWER, STOLEN IN FULTON ROCHESTER-Someone who apparently wanted a start on lawn mowing and boating along the Tippecanoe is believed responsible for an unusual theft near Delong. A tool shed at the rear a summer home owned by Harry Wisher, Rt. 2, Galveston, was entered forcibly. Articles taken were a motor from a riding lawn mower, and three oars for a rowboat. The mower itself and the fourth oar were left.

The shed was lock mech- entered by removing anism from. the door. Wisher told the Sheriff's office that. it had occurred between April 28 a a and May 7 when he discovered the loss. Deputy Sheriff Roy Calvert is investigating.

Wisher's cottage is at Sycamore Bend on the Tippecanoe River near Delong. Missionary To Be Lutheran Speaker The Rev. Paul W. Setterholm, Lutheran missionary to Japan, will speak at the 10:45 a.m. day service at St.
