District Court, charges Raymond in a travelers check scheme. He was indicted Wednesday, the day he began serving the prison term on a guilty plea stemming from a county purchasing scandal. Raymond and Shirley Wade Scar berry are charged in the indictment with transporting eight counterfeit travelers checks from Huntington to Morehead. Ky. They were drawn on the First National Bank of New York.

Raymond was sentenced June 4 after pleading guilty to forging an endorsement on a Cabell County general fund check when he was an administrative aide. Parks Commission Hopes To Complete Deal For Sandy Brae The Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission hopes to take steps today to complete purchase of the Sandy Brae golf course on the Kanawha Roane County line. The campaign will be called "Project Lifestart." and is aimed at funding a new building to be used as a training facility for mentally retarded children.
