MISS AMERICA ENGAGED ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.— While preparing to give up her crown tonight, Miss America 1972, Laurie Lea Schaefer, announced she is gaining a husband. The Columbus, Ohio, beauty queen's fiance is John Lurie, a former TV announcer who plans to enter medical school. It was the first time a Miss America announced he engagement during the year of her reign. The wedding is set for Dec. AP Wirephoto.

Wallace's Son Plans Singing Tour MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) George A. Wallace son of the Alabama governor, has signed a contract to appear in a series of singing engagements with Hank Williams Jr. Wallace will be featured as a singer and guitarist in the show on a national tour. He is scheduled to begin appearances next week.

Williams is the son of the late composer singer Hank Williams, who also was from Alabama. Feichit To Appeal Suit Dismissal INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The attorney for Negro comedian Ste FETCHTT pm Fetcnit, who gained fame in movies in the 1930s, says he will appeal Friday's dismissal of a $3 million damage suit to the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.
