(AP.) Cornell's Big Red football team spotted Princeton two touchdowns in the early moments today and then rose to a 28-21 triumph over the bewildered Tigers on the throwing arm of Lynn Dorset, a 22-years-old third string quarterback. A top-coated crowd of 34,000 which turned up in Palmer Stadium for the 31st renewal of this Ivy League rivalry sat enthralled as Dorset brought the Ithacans from behind by completing all ten of the passes he threw, three of them for touchdowns. Paul Cowie, a pint-sized Princeton scatback, sprinted 40 yards in the final period for his second touchdown of the day and sparked a 57-yard Tiger drive toward what The Rams scored two touchdowns the second quarter and two more in the third while the cadets made their only tally in Hamilton. 25. (AP.) Colgate and Brown, both rebounding from early season Ivy league defeats, disappointed each other here today by finishing in a 13 to 13 tie in the 29th game of their series played before a sundrenched crowd of 6000. Colgate outplayed Brown during all but the third quarter in which the Bruins scored 13 points and took what looked like a commanding lead, but Coach Paul Bix-ler's Red Raiders put on a fourth period finish which not only tied up the contest but almost won the game. The difference between the two teams was in the forward passing department where Colgate completed six out of 12 tosses for 112 yards to outshadow the Bruins, whose noted quarterback Ed Finn connected on but two of 12 attempts which gained but 50 yards. Green found little trouble in dashing over on the next play. Joe Condon, who had made the first Brown conversion missed what proved to be an important point. Treichler found substitute halfback Paul Mulligan behind the Brown secondary on the first play of the fourth period and the icat back took the ball over his shoulder on the 15 to go all the way.
