24 July 15, 1948 Ma*«n Cltr G!«fc«-G»i*tt«, Ma»*n City, la. Tesch Heads Legion Post Osage — The American Legion post elected officers for the coming year this week. New commander is to be S. E. Tesch, succeeding Pat Flack. Both are World war II veterans. Vice Commander is Clayton Schlick, who succeeds S. E. Tesch. Kenneth Lashbropk is adjutant, Ralph Burnham, finance officer; Ben Donsker, service officer; Carl Conway, assistant service officer; Clifford Jewett, historian; Stanley Novak, sergeant at arms; and H. F. Risse, chaplain. Execeutive board consists of Harry Hedrick, H. F. Haakenson, Vernon Smesrud, Dr. E. F. Ziegler and Don Elbert. Family Holds Picnic Clarion—A family picnic was held recently at the Cornelius Thompson home. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Thompson of Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Struck and daughter, Ruth of. Clinton; Dr. and Mrs. H. C. Struck o£ Xanawha, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thwnpson, Rex and Neil and Mr. ancXMrs. P. T.
