COUNTY GETS 'INSTANT PLAYGROUND' The Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission has received its new 'Instant Playground," which will be stationed at various points in Washington District this summer on a schedule to be announced. Commission Director Austin Palmer said the mobile playground is a pilot project and part of the commission's plans to provide rural children with recreation facilities. A playground director will accompany the facility on its rounds. It was manufactured by Game Time, of Litchfield, cost $6,900 and includes spring animals, slides, basketball, volleyball and a jungle gym. When the playground season ends, it will be stationed in Coonskin Park, Palmer said.
