TLe to be Repaired and a Special Election Called- There was a good attendance last evening at the Courthouse to discuss the school question.

Prof. Howe thought the building needed a good deal of repairing. The plastering was falling, the floors worn full of holes, and when high winds came he had frequently dismissed the school, fearing the buildiner would blow down. On the question of taxing the district aud issuing bonds, Mr. Summer-field called attention to the fact that the authority to issue bonds could not be given until after the next session of the Legislature.

Mr ITanford in his remarks showed how the money for State lands was getting larger every year and was reducing the county tax. It would soon reduce it to 30cts. on the $100 and if the people would keep it at oOcts, the permanent figures, with the State money the new school house could be built. '1 he motion was carried to call a spoehl election in the spring to raise money to buy a lot and start the foundation. Prof.
