He retired as as assistant He was a communicant of St. Brigid and St. Joseph's Church, and was a member of Tipperary Hill Post 1361 American Legion.

24, 1973 7 Rev. Samsel, 38, Shot to Death In Las Vegas The Rev. Dr. Robert Samsel, 38, of Las Vegas, formerly of Lakeland, died of gunshot wounds Friday in Las Vegas, according to police. Police said he was shot at the wheel of a car he had been driving.

They ruled the death a homicide. Mr. Samsel was pastor of the United Family Church of New Truth in Las Vegas, where he had lived four years. He was a Navy veteran. Surviving are his mother, Mrs.
