NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR PROBATE OF WILL AND FOR LETTERS TEST.AMENT.\RY No. 34700 In the Superior Court of the State of I California, in and for the County of San Bernardino. In the Matter of the Estate of EVELYN B. MARTINEZ. Deceased. Notice is hereby given that the petition of Jimmie G. Martinez for ready, and this new era of television has hardly begun. He was seen again prominently Saturday as CBS-TV and the BBC teamed up to use Early Bird for a program marking the 20th anniversary of Cier- many's World War II surrender, "Victory in Europe — 20 years After." Viewers on both sides of the Atlantic who watched the combination of instant reality and film chps of the war days saw a one - hour live documentary" created before their eyes. The program, which was seen live in this country during daylight hours and was repeated on video tape during prime- time, featured Gen, Dwight D, Eisenhower in New York talking with Field Marshal Viscount Montgomery in London, as well as visits to some key sties of the war — in Germany, France, Italy and England. .A.mong those reporting live from these sites was Dimbleby's grown son David, who, at Belsen, where the Nazis practiced some of their unspeakable horrors, rendered an incisive, verbal e.ssay. Eisenhower and Montgomery have had their public differences in the past, but they were in amiable form to start the hour. Monty said he was "jolly glad" to have been under Ike's command during the war, and began to reminisce. Ike returned the greeting, but reminded Monty the occasion was not for reminiscing as individuals but to pay tribute to the allied fighting men. On several ocea.sions. it seemed to this viewer that Ike plainly did not agree with some video explanations from the British side on matters of strategy, but unfortunately this aspect of the hour was not followed up. Also, while Ike may not be the best of public speakers, it struck this viewer that ... ...
