Log am port Indiana, Pharos-Tribune" 1,200 Attend Pennsy Party -More than 1,200 Pennsylvania Railroad employes and their families attended the combined children's and adult's Christmas party held Tuesday afternoon and evening at Memorial Home in Logansport. The host for the event was Chicago Division oC the Pennsylvania road. The children's phase of tiie party was held in the afternoon approximately 700 youngsters in attendance; who applnudeci movies, sang carols, and received gifts of refreshments from Santa CUus. Stuart Frushour served as the master of ceremonies for both the children's program and the adults' event which got under way at 8 p. m.

and was attended by more than 500 employes and wives, retired members of the Pennsy service, and widows of former em- ployes. A short talk on the Christmas spirit was given by K. L. Kimbie, the superintendent of the Chicago Division, and special entertainment was provided by the Shrine Minstrels. Refreshments were served and the evening was climaxed with dancing to the music of a local orchestra.

Christmas turkeys were won by D. Kissinger, Max Bowen, J. P. Donovan, D. D.

Pennsy Christmas Party Attended by 600 Children Deaths and Funerals WARNER Funeral sei-vices tor Samuel M. Warner, of route 5, Logansport, will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the McCloskey-Hamilton chapel with the Rev. Harry Rea officiating.

Burial will be made in the Spring Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. SAFFORD Final rites for Miss Blanche Safrord, 53. city, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Fisher funeral home, with Dr. Smith, of Indianapolis, officiating.

Report $118-Missing In Winamac Burglary WIXA.MAC, December 16 The Rausch Farm Implement Store, West Meridian Street, was broken into Thursday. evening with a resulting loss of approximately S118 in cash. Entrance was gained into the store by. the smashing of a door panel and then unlocking the latch.

The theft was not discovered until Friday morning when an em- 'ployee, Carl Stark, reported to work. Investigation by Indiana state policeman, revealed they forced entry into the cash register where only small change and checks were left, and the attempted entry into a filing 'cabinet. A few of the more than children who attended the Pennsylvania Railroad- Christmas, party Tuesday afternoon were lucky enough to get a little private interviw with Santa Glaus before the major portion of the two-hour, party got. under way at the Memorial Home. Savings Bonds Committe, has received a report on November Bond sales showing that citizens of the county purchased 3131,463 worth of Savings Bonds compared to 392,809 for the corresponding period oE last year. Total sales for Indiana for November were 310,967,606 and 38,204.318 November of 1952 a gain of more than 33 per cent. Seventy-three of Indiana's ninety-two counties reported sales gains for November over the same month of last year. Although sales held up well in. industrial counties, an analysis of sales county by county revealed that farming communities have increased purchases of.
