Interscholastio league officials cleared up the muddled situation in Section One, Conference last night by placing Wichita Falls, Vernon and Eiectra back in the running after all three were forced to forfeit their games this week and when each were found to htrVe been using ineligible men. Roy B.

The winner in the nounced later. The winner in the Vernon contest will then be matched with Tlainview, undefeated in the western half of the section, for the championship. Sherman high school, coached by Hugh Butler and favored by many league followers to win the state title, is also under protest. Oak Cliff high of Dallas, whom Sherman defeated recently by an overwhelm ing score, has protested Welch, star of Butler's team.

Two other strong protests are pending against Sherman, all of which will be decided on Thursday, Shermun officials having been given time to prepare their evidence for de fense. North Side high school of Fort Worth has been conditionally reinstated In the state race. North Side must play Polytechnic high of Fort Worth, and it they win this game they will be matched with Mineral Wells. As a result of a forfeit of all games by Weather-ford Central high of Fort Worth has been reinstated. KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA PLAY SCORELESS TIE NORMAN.

Nov. 7. OT Kansas and Oklahoma fought in the mud to a scoreless tie on Owen Field today. The game was wit nessed by a home-coming crowd of approximately 10,000 who shivered before the blast of a "norther" that struck Norman about three hours before game time. Sandl Esqulvel of El Paao, harrier champion of the Southwest conference last season, easily ran to victory In the cross-country run staged at the Texas Memorial stadium between the Texas Longhorns and the Texas Aggies prior to the Baylor-Texas game.

Texas won the event by a 24 to 31 score The fleet Longhorn star negotiated the four-mile run in 20 minutes 56.3 seconds and finished ahead of his team mate, Connor, by half the length of the stadium track. Connor managed to nose out Maoy of Texas A. and M. for second place, while Crump of A. and M.

finished fourth. The rest of the runners finished in the following order: Bubar (Texas), Vestal (Texas), Johnson (A. and Childress (A. and Klllrane (A, and and McCarroll (Texas). KANSAS AGGIES WIN MILWAUKEE, Nov.

7. VP) Playing on a storm-swept field her today, the Kansas Aggies defeated Marquette university, 2 to 0. The score was made by Fleck, Aggies' right end, who downed Demmoling, Marquette's quarterback, behind the goal line after Demmollng had received a punt by Cochrane. BUILD IT UP! People have coughs and colds mostly because they lack resistance and are not adequately nourished. Scott's Emulsion rich in vitamins supplies the weakened system with nourishment that helps restore resistance.

Build up your strength with Scott's Emulsion. Scott St Bowse, Bloom Seld, N. J. Z5-2S When the Baylor Bears checked the Texas Longhorns on the two-foot line yesterday with Rufus King attempting to plunge it over, the Baylor team had 12 player on the field and all took part in the third play. It so happened that Baylor had substituted Jones for Fall and Fall evidently wai not notified by the officiala, for he did not leave until after the next play, on which the Bears held.

This happened detplts the fact that there were four officials used. ORANGE HI FORFEITS GAME TO BEAUMONT ORANGE, Nov. 7. The Orange-Beaumont football game scheduled here today was forfeited to Beaumont early in the fourth period Beaumont had scored Its second touchdown and holding the home team scorelnss. The game was forfeited when Coach Key of Orange called his men from the field as a protest cf the decision of an official.

It was a 25-yard pass from Stephens to Haynes who dashed the remaining 20 yards to Rice's goal line in the third quarter that brought victory to a muchly damaged Tiger and and Joy to S000 fans who stood In the stands while a drenching rain beat down.

The six point victory does not give a true indication of Louisiana's superstrength over Rice, as breaks went against the Tigers through the first half and bad luck in the second cut down drivings which were moving steadily goalward. Rice opened it) the fourth period with a desperate passing attack but their efforts netted not even a single first down in the period. The Owls were clearly outplayed in every department ot the game during the second half, with odds about even In the first. From out of the mucky field "Bade" Godfrey, Ben Miller, "Red" Swanson and Haynes of Louisiana State rose to stellar htlghts. Underwood, giant center, and Hertlg, halfback, were Rice's outstanding men.

Wendlandfs Team Leading Bowlers Nine Pin Race Has Two Weeks More to Go. The present nine-pin tournament is drawing to a close, only two more weeks remaining and hot contests are being had. The teams are evenly matched and the race is close, all teams having a chance to come out in the lead with exception of Schutze team No. 6, which is hopelessly trailing behind having lost by far the majority of their games. The race Is very interesting and thoroughly enjoyed by all those participating on account of the close scores and keen rivalry is being exhibited.

Pressler's team No. 5 and Schutze team No. 6 have a postponed series to bowl off, the outcome of which will largely decide Pressler's chances to run up for first place for a victory of three straight would bring him within one game of the leaders while a defeat of three would practically eliminate him. However, Schutze's team seems to have struck its stride, judging by last night's performance in the last game against Wendlandfs leading team which in that game was defeated by the one-sided margin of 107 pins, Wendlandt making only 167 pins against Schutze's score of 274 pins, the highest score made In this tournament and perhaps one of the highest scores ever made on the local alleys by a six-man team. While this was one of the records broken last night, the same two teams broke another record in the first game of the evening, Wendlandfs team outlucking Schutze's aggre gation by beating them in the first game by the low score of 142 against 139 pins, perhaps the lowest score on which any team has ever been able to win a game.

The present standing of the teams follows: Team W. 3 Wendlandt 15 2 Gerjes 13 5 Pressler 11 4 Haenel 12 1 Ad Schutze 11 6 Ed Schutze 8 L. Pet. .625 .523 .500 .459 .381 10 12 13 13 Attack Blows Up Razorback Line Withstands Methodist Plunges. DALLAS, Nov.

7. VP) Arkansas university Razorbacks and Southern Methodist university Mustangs clashed here this afternoon in a colorless gridiron contest that ended in a scoreless tie, the second such deadlock for the Mustangs in two weeks. The result of today's game leaves the Razorbacks in the cellar with SMU perched just above them. Last week the Mustangs and Texas Longhorns played a scoreless tie on the same field. 0ly 4,000 persons attended today's game, which was played on a muddy field.

SMU's aerial attack blew up and the brilliant Cortemeglia was somewhat off form in hia punting and line plunging. The Razorback line held fast against the Mustangs throughout the game, and few gains were recorded on either side. In the evenly matched contest, a player from each team divided first honors with superior playing. D'Honau, Razorback quarter, and Ox Key, Mustang end, the former by brilliant offensive work and the latter by spectacular defensive ef forts, were the stars. The Mustangs had only one good chance to score and then Key failed to kick goal from the Arkansas 27-yard line.

The Porkers had the ball slightly closer to the Mustang goal line, but Rusker tried a place kick from the SMU 20-yard line, but the ball went low and to one side. Pass after pass was Intercepted or broken up. What gains were made were through the opposing lines, usually for short distances, or around end for a trifle more. A good many punts were exchanged. Cole and Rusker, kicking for the Razorbacks, had a slight edge on Kimbrough, Cortemeglia, and Wil-kerson, punting for SMU.

Many substitutions were made during the game. Very seldom did either team make more than two first downs in succession. The lineup: Arkansas (0) Position SMU (0) Coleman Key Left End Rose (c) Magness Left Tackle Scott (c) Vaughan Left Guard Boozeman Ford Center McGill Tatum Right Guard Japp G. Watters Right Tackle Parker Dawson Right End D'Honau Mann Quarter Back Chipman Kimbrough Left Half Cole Craig Right Half Smith Cortemeglia Full Back No score. Officials: Jacobson (Iowa), referee; Roach (Baylor), umpire; Garrity (A.

and hend linesman; Allen (Iowa State), field judge. OHIO STATE TRIUMPHS OVER INDIANA, 7 TO 0 COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 7. OT Out of a wallow of mud, Ohio State emerged victorious over Indiana in the Ohio stadium here today, 7 to 0. Replete with fumbles, slips, slides and splashes, the game afforded' breaks both ways.

None of the breaks were disastrous and Ohio State's touchdown in the second period was scored on a brilliant forward pass attack starting in midfield. It was the first time in the 25-year-old Hoosier-Buckeye feud that Indiana did not score on Ohio State. DRAKE WINS -RAGGED GAME FROM NEBRASKA DES MOINES, Nov. 7. VP) In a game featured by fumbling and kicking, Drake won from Nebraska here today, 14 to 0.

Drake showed superior ability to cover In the face of the flashy Husker backield when Spears, Bulldog back, recovered a fumble in the first quarter and raced 60 yards for a touchdown, and when, in the fourth period, Sutherland pushed over the goal on an end run for another counter. Wright who ran 18 yards after catching the ball, and another time by Rufus King, who ran 47 yards andwas well on his way to the Baylor goal line when a Bear tackled him from the rear. Texas had four passes completed. One was count ed because of interference but the other three were perfect. Rufus King to Saxon twice.

This is the way that two of the passes went. And the last pass was wonderful. Many spectators expressed the belief that they would have gladly paid the price of admisson even if they were only allowed to see this one play. It went from Rufus King to Jonnie Estes who tore down the line toward the goal. As it happened, poor Johnnie fumbled, but Newell, the elongated end for the Steers, was right on the heels of Estes and he covered the ball and turned a somersault in order to get over the goal line for the final count.

Facts Speak for Themselves. Perhaps the first etatement nf tne story in regard to Bridges heins outplayed in every department of tne game was not well founded, but I will let these statistics and facts speak ror tnemselves. But the defeat was certainly not the fault of Bridges. He did his best to nave nis team win. He waa on the fie.d to contest everv de.

i-iaiun maue iy uie ouicials, and on nis toes aunng tne whole game. He was not the only one on his toes. The referee got on hu (Bridges) toes once when he epntlt but firmly assisted him from the neia oraer tnat play micht he resumed. And so. as Aunt Katie nairt Uncle Jim.

7. VP) TCU defeated Texas A. and 3 to 0, Saturday before 6,000 fans in the TCU stadium. The winning points were scored by tha Frogs in the first period when Johnny Wash- mon kicked a field goal. The Aggies battled hard but could not gain when they had the ball in the Frog danger zone and missed four attempts at field goals.

The game was a big upset as the Aggies were rated about 14 to 21 points better than the Christians. The Farmers, hoping to win the 1925 conference football title, entered the game in fine shape with only one man, Quarterback Berry, on the hospital list. The Frogs matched him with Blackie Williams, batk-field star, out of the game with a wrenched ankle and with Jew Levy, powerful linesman, out with the same trouble. The game was a thrilling one, both teams having many chances to score but could not pierce the line.1 T. C.

Snappy Stunts By Rival Rooters Just before the game the four Baylor yell leaders, dressed in gaudy gold costumes with green sashes, paraded in front of the Bear stands and led the gray and gold cohorts in a few yells. The Texas co-eds carrying orange-colored balloons, paraded into the field and took seats in the east section.

At 2:30 the Longhorn band and Freshman band came on the field entering from the west side and parading around to the east stands where they were seated for the game. The Baylor and Texas bands are seated side by side. The Texas team, headed by Captain Stewart 'Wright, came on the field at 2:45 and immediately entered a signal practice. The Baylor team entered from the northeast side at 2:50 and passed under the goal posts in single file formation, and took places on the west side of the field. Both teams at 2:51 began signal practice and punting.

There were 38 Baylor players who came on the field. On the east side of the field were several hundred University of Texas students dressed in white shirts and dark ties for a stunt between halves. Just prior to the game the two bands were playing. The east side of the field was only half filled at 2:58 o'clock, while there were many seats va cant on the west side. A minute later the Baylor players gathered around the Baylor coaches for a conference.

A Pathe news photographer took pictures of the squads as they ran signal practice. The Baylor Bears took three squads on the field for signal practice Just before the game. Just prior to the game both student bodies gave snappy yells. The two rooting sections are seated alongside of each other in the east stands. The Baylor band is now playing its Victory Air as all the spectators stand.

Red Gore, Bay-l'T, and Lester Settegast, Texas, are acting as assistant linemen for the game. The Texas band played "The Eyes of Texas." During the intermission between halves, the Baylor band paraded on the field and formed a huge TU. While the Baylor band was executing this formation a group of Texas students with orange colored cards were flashing alternately the letters TEXAS. Later they former a Longhorn head with the same orange colored cards. Afterwards the Texas co-eds, arranged in formation in the east section, released their orange Walloons and waved orange and white streamers.

The Texas band paraded on the field and formed a while the rooters released bits of orange and white paper into the air. MISSOURI WINS ST. LOUIS; Nov. 7.
