The sorrowing family have the heartfelt sympathy of a large circle of friends. Ed Ran kin. Mr. Chegwidden is posted on the war situation in England and says that the country with the largest pneketbook will win the fray. An idea may be conceived of the big way Weber Co do business from the fact that they last week shipped a train load of forty cars of southern pine from their mills in Shrevesport, through to Salina. Of this forty cars the Dorrance yard gets seven cars the rest of the train being distributed to the other yards conducted by the firm.

Dorrance and Bunker Hill are again on the railroad map and the ef fort to have 103 and 104 make regu lar stops at this station has been re warded. Agent Piper last week was notified that those trains would make regular stops at this station during life of present time table and agents along line have been notified to sell tickets to Dorrance. Miss Pearl Widdifield, Mr, Kilby Borah and two other gentlemen stopped for a short visit with Miss Ethel Shilts Monday afternoon. They were motoring from Ellsworth Oakley and expected to get home late Monday night. Monday evening was a gala night for the members of Dorrance lodge A. O. U.

W. After the regular lodge work a literary and musical program was given by members and their families after which refreshments were served. It was a jolly enjoyable evening spent in eood fellowship and did much to keep alive the spirit that always keeps the Workmen in the front rank of fraternal organization. Wm.
