The Ctiuir appointed the fallowing coiuiuit-toe Mossra Pierpoint, Steele, and Spencer, who performed that service, aud Governor Fletcher appeared and was sworn. After the Administration of the oath, tho annual message of the Govurnor was read, after which the Senate withdrew and tho House a I-journed.

AFTERNOON. The select committee to whom was referred the bill repealing tho act of 1855, relating to the bringing of units, rrportnd favorably with slight amendments, whiuli were adopted. A motion by Mr. Powers, that the rules he suspended rn order to pass the hill to the third reading, prevailed and the bill passed unanimous1). Tho Speaker announced tho committee on printing, viz Mr.
