Kalode Advance 4 ITHACA, N.Y, (AP) Two former state Boys champions riding on relatively east victor ies in competition Wednesday for the semi-finals in the State Junior and Boys Golf Championships at the Corne University Course here. Peter Kern of nea; Binghamton, the 1967 Boys champ, and Don Kalode of Syracuse, the 1968 Htlist. took then respective matches in third and fourth found junior division play. Battle Is Named NewSBAPrexy Robert C. Battle, 5 Orwood Place, became president of the Syracuse Bowling Association last night. Andrew Lozoski, who had been elected president at the annual meeting last spring, did not attend and he submitted a letter of resignation which was read by secretary Bert Sarno. The letter explained that Lozo- ki would be unable to preside at meetings because of his "physical condition" and new assignments in his field of employment. i The resignation was accepted although officers and directors of the association praised ski for his fine work for bowlers throughout the years.

Other officers were moved up and Battle, who had been first vice president, was voted in as president. Battle, in one of his first official moves, appointed Edward Gratien is fourth vie? president to fill a vacancy created. Other officers are Robert J. Farrington, first vice second vice president; presi- a Donald Brown, third vice president. William Goff was appointed to fill a vacancy on the of directors.

Others on the board of directors are Samuel Antonacci, Charles Castleman, Robert Giarrusso, Luigi Liberatore, Edward Reddy, Win Scheding, John Smorol, Julian Stanczyk, Claude (Red) Parton, Rocco Longo and Wes Klug.
