What ninre could I wish to make my dream of Paris more perfectly Next door are two of the party. We are all on the same floor. I could stay here for weeks am sure. About o'clock this morning Mr. Bartlett put us in a Carriage and we were whirled away to Victoria statfon.

Here we went in the second class waiting room and wlaited for Mr. Bartlett who was to come in a hansom. Soon he appeared, bustling and hurrying. He introduced me to a Mr. Orowell.

ho is to go to Paris with lis. He is a Massachusetts Yankee, a teacher, and about io. He is to see that people get through ail light to Paris and Mrf Bartlett put me in his especial care. Mrj Bartlett will bring another sectiow thriiugU to-night. Soon we were in thej midst of getting ail the baggage collected, registered aud put in the pruper earj- for the.

train. It was a great sho'w for me --and I enjoyed thv funny side to my 'heart's content, for 1 had nothing to do but; look on. We soon were stowed in the little apartments an.d locked in so we wouldn't jump out anil break -our necks. I suppose. The ride from London down to New Haven luii'lsir on the Kngiish channel was a continued delight I felt so well, and the sun was so bright and the air so bracing.

We saw so many wild poppies and other riowers along the rou.il bank and meadows blia.ing with the jnifipies. We passed Southdown hills or meadows where the famous Southlowu sheep are raised, noticed that although hedges are grown, still not nearly so much as in iventconntv which we passed through ocr-our wav Itom Folkstone to London. The country was so beautiful, houses showiugmore wealth than Iventconntv, no hops grown that we saw, or game preserves. Saw some wind milLs, old churches, beautiful trees aud grass with cows resting in shade, ah ideaJ pastoral scene. As we neared the coast the chalk cliffs came in view and in fact we saw much of the chalk blutTs ail along the road and some were being worked.

'u arriving at New Haven we passed through the custom house and onlyv had our grips chalked, officers did not btTer to open them. I must not forget a funny thing that happened as we came down on the' train. One of the McKinstry party in another compartment was taken sick and MWa iMeKihs-try was in the van with me and as locked in so she could not get to.jb.er although she was in the adjoining ear or compartment of the car. so we thought it best to call the porter, who was on the forward end of the train. A young boy of our party put his liead out of the van and beckoned the portar to come but it did no good.

Then they rang the bell in the This bell is only to be used in stopping the train but she ASA not know that. What she wanted the porter: The result was that the train stopped and the porter came back all out of breath but would not let Miss McKinstry out, and the yourJg lady felt better by that time. It had to be reported and Miss McKinstry is now liable to a fine of because one of the party stopped the train. The porter demanded the name and address of Miss McKinstry as be said he would have to report it to headquarters. I hope they won't collect the tine.

The embarking on the boat was interesting and especially seeing the cranes swing the great piles of trunks around in the hold of the vessel. We had an hour's ride from London and on account of the train being stopped we were a half hour getting started on the boat, which was about 12 nn. I sat on the deck a long then went below in cabin and layidown until Mr. Cro-well came for me, to go to dinfrer. I enjoyed the dinner or lunch so much.

Then went back in cabin and rested until, we were in the harbor of Dieppe, France. VVe had a lovely voyage of 4 hours. Channel here -is wider and boat larger than where we crossed the other day. I was not the least bit (Sot off the boat ahd here it was that we encountered the custom house officers instead of at New Haven, as I just recorded. Another very funny sight was getting the passengers distributed-in the vans, I was most efficiently looked after by Mr.

Crowell and he is certainly an expert in this line. On the road to Paris we flew through a beautiful country and soon reached the Seine Iriver and followed it most of the way to Paris. Women were working in the field. fine was doing the family washing in the river. Beauit ful landscapes st udies in greens, browns and yellows passed in rapid succession, old chnrchea covered with ivy; straw-roofed buildings, beautiful lane and white "roads runihg w-tween trees so close together that it looked only like a footpath.

All looked to well and picturesque.
