Twenty-three are tto be erected in Northeast Baltimore and 24 in West Baltimore. August Ilampson applied for a permit to erect 24 two-story brick dwellings on the east side of Pulaski street, south of Eagle. Each will be 13 by 42 feet and the cost will be Mr. Hampson is architect and builder. Frank Novak made application for two permits, one to build a block of 10 houses, costing each, on the north and south sides of the 2S00 block East Madison street, Nos.

2811 to 2819 and 2812 to 2S20, each IS bv 42 feet: the other for 13 two-Ktory brick houses from 701 to 725 North Streeper street, each 12 by 40 feet and costing in all $9,100. Callis Callis are the srehitects for both blocks of dwellings. The Morgan Mill work Company, manufac- turers of doors and sashes, lias purchased the remaining vacant lot on the south side of North avenue, west of Maryland and opposite St. Luke's Hospital, from Frank Khlcn. migan Nephew are the asrents for Mr. Ehlin, and would neither fiflirni nor deny the gale, which has not yet been recorded. According to the present plans, the purchasing company will erect a manufacturing plant on the lot, which has a frontage of 124 feet and a depth of 185 feet and is nenr the Maryland and Pennsylvania Rail-. road tracks. A penpral trend of business southward from Baltimore street, and especially along Howard street, has begun, and seems a re-Kultant from the boom of the last year or twojn real estate values alone North Howard street, toward Franklin. The noint is especially, noticeable, because while the upper territory is retail territory the southern section of the street is in practically a wholesale The best evidence of this southward extension nnd enlivenment is the recent five-year I'-sse taken by William M.
