The victim was identified by Benton Harbor police as Isiah Cross, 50, of 384 Brunson A Benton Harbor man, reported struck by about 50 pellets from a shotgun blast Friday, was listed in fair condition at Mercy hospital this morning, while another man avenue. Benton Harbor police said they booked Jack A. Smith, 26, of 344 High street, on a charge of assault with intent to commit murder. Officers said Smith walked into the sheriff's department at St. Joseph, to surrender, about an hour after the shooting was reported at 2:08 p.m.

Police that the shooting occurred outside 384 Brunson, apparently after a quarrel.
