He hoped that he would return in a year or so to Winnipeg and when he did come It would not be He had had the most pleasant associations here and would be pleased to renew them with any friends who would cull on him in his new home in Montreal. "Jack" Connor, A. McCaul, George Scott, J. J. Cantwell and "Barney" Weldon gave songs, for which each received an encore, and I.arney Weldon brought the house down with "Somebody Lied" in response to the encore given him.

Patterson sang "That Dollar of My Own," and bad to respond to an encore with "Nellie Dean," assisted by W. A. Another persistent encore persuaded Mr. Patterson to give the "Medicine Man" oration, for which recitation he has a reputation. E.

Sheldon, with a coming song; Ed. Harvey with a piano fantasy; Mr. Cantwell, with "Cordelia Sam Larkln in "Cushendall," and Edward Smith, all entertained the assemblage with song, and Barney Wel- don's Irish blood again appealed to and he responded with "Asleep In tne Deep." "Jimmy" Brown gave a song, and kept his auditors "Running Fp and Down Stairs" for a few minutes, and with a toast to the host and "Auld Lang Syne," the assemblage dispersed.
