HARVARD CRUSHES VIRGINIA. By Associated Press. CAMBRIDGE, Mass, Oct. SO. Harvard rolled up three touchdowns and a field goal against the University of Virginia today, winning 24 to 0.

Although the visitors showed proficiency in the overhead game, their offensive vanished at Harvard's twenty-five-yard line. The crimson played the game almost entirely with subs, who found some difticulty early in me game With Captain Maxey Hart, Alvaro McCailum, Joe Moore and Steve Gardner as Its renrese ntati vea. Austin, aa usual, holds its own as having more men on tha Lonehorn football team than any other Texas city. And from shmrin? un in the erames as the season froes on, it appears certain that all ot them will win letters this year. Both Hart and Moore are playing excellent games at end, the latter getting into tha game regularly when McCullough, the Missouri star, waa Injured, Now that McCullough Is back In the game, Moore will probably be relegated to the post of substitute end.

McCailum, who has twice won a University letter, the first one coming to him while ha waa yet a freshman, is going at a fast pace an promises to exceed the achievements of previous seasons. His famous "dive" is again attracting attention throughout the conference. Whenever a first down is needed, "Mac" usually ia given the ball, acd moer often than not he is successful in ramming across the needed distance. Steve Gardner, who is playing his first year ot University football. Is crowding Swenson for the regular berth at center.

Both are good and there are enough games for both to appear sufficiently to win the coveted Gardner's passing ia not as accurate as that of the big Swede, but he appears to advantage in every other phase ot the game.
