It has been years since any Louis- vine lv station has done editonals, but the new general manager of WDRB says his station needs to start a dialogue on community issues. Bill Lamb, who took over the top job at WDRB 11 weeks ago, was scheduled to broadcast an editorial yesterday that explained what the station plans to do before launching into specific issues next week. The editorials, called "Point of View," will air on the 4 and 10 p.m. luesday news TOM DORSEY TV-RADIO CRITIC casts.

Once the project is under way, a re sponse editorial from someone who disagrees with the station's opinion or who has another issue to be heard will be scheduled weekly. A third "Point of View" from a community leader on a topic he or she considers important also will join the weekly editorial lineup. If there's a strong response, more editorials may be added on other days. "As a television station, we have such a big voice and reach so many people that we have a responsibility to do more than just entertain and in form," said Lamb.
