mrs. m.thomson sister of sir McMillan, dies Noted Church Worker Was Nearly 80 Years of Age One Brother Died Week Ago Mrs. Margaret Thomson. pioneer resident of Winnipeg, and a leader In women's work, died Thursday at ths horns of her son, William IL Thomson, suite 2, Rosemount apartments. 351 River ave.

She was within a few week of her 80th birthday, having been born March 32, 1848, at Pickering, Ont The death of Mrs. Thomson came Just a week after tha passing of her brother, William J. McMillan, at Miami, Florida. Mr. McMillan, who was on of the city's oldest grain men, was buried Tuesday.

The only surviving brother is Sir Daniel McMillan, at present vlsltlna; Nassau In the Bahamas. Active Religious Worker Mrs. Thomson had been noted for active' Interest she took In tha re-IIkIous and charitable welfare of Winnipeg; since her arrival here In 1881 with her husband. A member of Knox church for more than 40 years, shs was honorary president of the Women's auxiliary for several vears. besides being a life member of the Women's Missionary society.

8hs took an early Interest In the Women's Christian union of this city, being a charter member of the organization. The union later ae-veloped Into the Old Folks' Home association at MUldlechurch, and Mrs. Thomson was president of the society for many years, later being fconored with an honorary presidency. Bhe was a charter member of the women's auxiliary of ths Winnipeg General hospital. Mrs.

Thomson wss ths daughter of Eleanor and James McMillan, of Pickering. Ths family later moved to Colllngwood. Ont. where she was married to Ebenezer Thomson. Oct.

6, 1869. Twelve years after that, the couple moved to Winnipeg, arriving In the city July 12. 181. Mr. Thomson, who wss ons of outstanding officers and elders of Knox church, died in 1909.

McMillan, Miami, Florida; D. Hunter Gordon, manager of the Canadian Bank of Commerce, Vancouver, B.C.; William T. Cordon, Winnipeg, and Stanley B. Nixon, 8L Louis, Mo. Ths funeral will bs held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 8, from Suite 2, Rosemount apartments, Sfil River ave.

Rev. F. B. Duval, and Rev. Prof.

F. W. Kerr, D.D., minister of Knox church, will have charge of the ser vices. Burial will be In the -mlly plot, Elmwood cemetery. Thomson's funeral home have charge of ths funeral arrangements.

TREL0AR, C.P.R. WORKER, DIES SUDDENLY Robert H. Treloar, car repairer at ths Canadian Pacific railway shops, died suddenly, Thursday afternoon, after being stricken at work. Hs was given treatment at the first aid office and later said he could walk to his home at 1507 Selkirk ave. A fellow-worker, George Coope, accompanied him, but after they had walked about 300 yards, Treloar was stricken a second time and died a few minutes later.

rr. H. M. Cameron, provincial roroner, ordered the body to the A. B.

Gardiner funeral home, pending inquiry. A post-mortem examination will be mads today. Mr. Treloar, who was 46 years of age, was a native of Lancashire, England. He leaves his wife.

The funeral will be held at 845 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, from Gardiner's home, to Brookslde cemetery. Rev. F. C. H.
