Secretary City Flaming Corrmiston Earnings reported MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Dayton Hudson's discount chain, Target, increased sales 20 per cent in 1975 to become the corporation's largest operating unit, the firm's annual report says. The report, mailed to stockholders Tuesday, shewed that Target sailed past Detroit based Hudson's department stores to take the top spot in the company ui terms of revenues. However, Hudson's retained its top profit producing position in the corporation with a 56 per cent jump in earnings contribution, the report said. The report disclosed the annual revenues of each of Dayton Hudson's 10 retail operating Fergus Falls (Mi.) Jeirul Thins., April 29,1976 13 companies, but did not break down profit contributions by companies. Third in terms of revenues was Dayton's, the firm's Minneapolis-based department store operation, which raised its 1975 sales B.5 per cent. Fourth was b. DalUm, Bookseller, a chain that started 10 years ago and last year increased revenues 33.5 per cent. As previously reported, the Dayton Hudson earned (51.3 million, or 13.22 a share, on revenues of $1.7 billion in 1975.
