Modern and up to date in every respect. 37 full-time faculty and administration people (plus 7 part-time) teachers working on the campus with 595 students. The Fergus Falls Community College campus has changed over the years. We have remodeled existing facilities and added to the ones we started with. Now, you will find a complete campus with six buildings, ample parking, a well designed campus, with baseball, Softball and football fields, tennis courts and much, much more. Fergus Falls Community College is an "open door" educational institution serving students from nine different states, fifteen Minnesota counties,'seventy different high schools, and six foreign countries. The College is dedicated to providing high quality service to students in general education, transfer education, and occupational education programs. In addition, Fergus Falls Community College provides a diversified program of student activities arid services designed to compliment the academic programming. Continuing education and community service programs are emerging as areas of increasingly important service to the community. 'A highly qualified slalf, modern and efficient facilities, and a diversified progra mming enable Fergus Falls Community College to provide these quality services. Community Colleges have served a valuable purpose on the Minnesota Educational scene for more than 60 years. Fergus Falls Community College is a proud participant in this educational tradition. STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES The philosophy of the College is that student activities and'organizations should promote Ihe complete development of the individual. Because of the number and variety of activities and organizations, all students have th« opportunity to participate in extra-curricular programs. The activity program for Fergus Falls Community College includes a varied offering in competitive and intramural athletics, music, drama, publications, social activities, and student government. Special interest chibs and organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, Distributive Education Clubs of America, Minnesota Office Education Association, Circle K, Cheerleading, and convocations provide for a diversified and enriching program for student participation.. STUDENT SERVICES Several services have been established to assist students in their personal, educational, and career development. These services include academic advising, counseling, and guidance, financial aid, placement, and housing advice. FINANCIAL AIDS Fergus Falls Community College makes an effort to assist students to finance their education. Most often this assistance comes in the form of a "package" •which may include scholarships, grants, loans, and employment. In order to be considered for financial aid from the college, the student must submit a Family Financial Statement to American College Testing Program, or a Parents' Confidential Statement to College Scholarship Services, and ask that a copy be sent to Fergus Falls Community College. Most high schools and the College have these forms available. When the college receives the statement, ttie student will be considered for all available aid. See the Director of Financial Aid for specific information about financial assistance. ACADEMIC PROGRAMS OFFERED Offered here are eleven Occupational Programs of 1 or 2 year duration. In addition, Pre-Professional Transfer Programs are available.
