Parker, of Modern Power, submitted a proposition fur an experiment with asphaitum road oil on country roads. The association passed a resolution appointing a committee to take steps to experiment with tho oil to see whether It will give a satisfactory road bed. If the experiment proves successful an attempt will be mad to have the duly on the oil removed. The association endorsed a resolution passed by the Selkirk board of trade urging the provincial government to assist in the building of good ronds, but added a rider to tha effect that the government ahnuld not be exnecetd to pay more than one-third of the cost of the Improvement. The following recommendation! of the executive committee were adopted: That the government be requested to grant to be expended under the direction of the highway commissioner on leading roads kept with split-log drags.
