In the election held, present officers which are Mrs. Schweers', president; Mrs. Henry Kasperson, secretary; and Mrs. Dan Booth, treasurer were re-elected. Mrs. Harvey Freese was elected as the new vice president. After routine business, reports on the recent Fall Pres;. M1 byterial Workshop at Vail were given. The group has received ."."'.their workshop supplies and also their sewing assignment for the 1970-71 year. Plans were ['''.also made to make lap robes for the Presbyterian Home at Ackley. The lesson pertaining to the Thanksgiving season was taken from I Thessalonians, Chapter '" 5:18. The group voted to send a 1970 medical offering in addi- , tion to their opportunity giving. The Christmas gifts brought by the members were packed ".'after the meeting adjourned. ''They will be sent to the Tuba City, Arizona Mission. Lunch '"was served by Mrs. Edward Jons assisted by Mrs. Warren Andersen. The Dec. 3 meeting , will include their annual Christmas party. Final Plans Made for Girl Scout Trip to Mexico (Times Herald News Service) MANNING - Senior Girl ,,. Scouts from Lake City, Carroll, and Manning, Who plan a Mex, ican trip this month met at the „,',, Presbyterian Church in Man, ning on Sunday evening Nov. 8 for final arrangements for the trip. Assignments were given to the girls, who will leave Omaha by plan on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 8 ,,, a.m. All travel arrangements for the group have been made by the Allen Travel Agency in "'"Carroll. Each girl making the trip was presented with a flight bag by the agency. The girls presented skits and ..;! service projects which they will ' • present in Mexico. Parents of "the Manning girls attended the meeting to view the skits and ( service projects. The Manning girls will give a puppet show on dental hygiene and present a personal toothbrush to each child who views the show. Their skit consists of a Virginia Reel square dance, for which they have made special costumes. These square dance costumes will be left in Mexico, for children there. Mr. D. J. Casey of Carroll was in charge of Sunday's meeting. The Manning senior scouts and their leaders served supper to the group. ON TEMPORARY DUTY U.S. Air Force Sgt.
