Mary Webster is visiting her brother in Steubenville, O. Dr. Carl Tuttle is spending a few weeks on the banks of Lake Superior fishing and hunting, and took with him his faithful kodak, and his friends will no doubt be treated to views of that picturesque country on his return. A petition was presented to the trustees on Saturday last asking for the appointment of a special election on the question of local option. The day and date was set for Saturday, Oct.

3d, 1894. There is quite a diversity of opinion as to the result ot the vote on this question. Miss Tillie Fish was thrown out of a buggy Sunday. Tho horse became irignteneci at a call which was fastened to the side of the road near the home of Wm. Chapin.

M. II. Peck is having his store painted, which adds greatly to the appearance, especially the color of the front, which says exactly suits his taste. Charles Webster is home again for a short, time, being rehuved as operator at Martin by the regular man, who has been off sick.
