In recognition of Sister Claretta Easter's faithful pa- trohage, the C & O provided her the private business car of Buford Nash, the railroad's regional manager in Detroit. Nash went along as a personal escort. Nash also presented a scroll with an inscribed poem expressing giatltude to Sister Claretta of St. John's Cathedral Convent for Dominican Sisters in Milwaukee in special ceremonies In the C & O station. Trainmen and other employes of the road with whom she has become fast friends over the years turned out for the occasion, which climaxed a sightseeing tour of the city. Sister Claretta once made the trip in the cab of a dlesel locomotive. Three years ago she was the guest of Walter J. Tuohy, c & O chief executive officer, aboard a train-ferry crossing Lake Michigan. The direct water route from Milwaukee to the home of her sister, Miss Gladys Easter, in South Haven, Mich., is 70 miles. Her train trip from Milwaukee to Chicago and then around the bottom of Lake Michigan and up the east side to Bangor, near South Haven, is 170 miles. Sister Claretta, pleased but somewhat nonplussed by all the fuss, s,aid the attention and courtesy shown her by the C & O employes over the years "has been delightful." But Sister Claretta isn't afraid of other means of travel. Four years ago she flew across Lake Michigan In a plane. King's Position Grows Stronger ATHENS, Greece (AP) King Constantine's position In the Greek throne crisis grew stronger Wednesday as five more members of ex-Premier George Papandreou's party bolted and joined the new government. The 25-year-old monarch swore in the five new ministers Tuesday night, completing the 20-member Cabinet of his handpicked premier, George Athana- siadls Novas. All 20 were members of the Center Union party who went over to the king's side despite Papandreou's warning that anyone joining the new government was a traitor. Papandreou's party holds 170 of the 300 seats in Parliament. Athanasiadis Novas said he was confident he would win the vote of confidence he must seek from Parliament by Aug. 1. The crisis broke July 15 when the king fired Papandreou after refusing the 77-year-old premier's demand that Defense Minister Peter Garoufallas be dismissed for refusing to purge the army of politically active officers. Papandreou called on the people to stage a "peaceful uprising" to show "who governs Greece, the king or the people." Alumni Contribute $3 Million to Yale NEW HAVEN, Conn.
