A second X V 5A, flown by Army test pilot William Anderson, circled slowly once and then landed. The two planes were produced for the Army by General Electric Co. and Ryan Aeronautical Co. and had been accepted by the Army last January. This was the first public demonstration of the XV5A, which previously had undergone many successful test flights.
