Aunt Donna Taylor, 00, of tha Hicktnan Nursing Home at Gold- thwalte, has been seriously ill but is sold to be better at this writing. Mrs. R. A. Taylor returned home Monday from Tyler where she visited with two sisters, Mian Blanche Johnson, Mrs.

A. Burton and other relatives. While on this visit Mrs. Taylor and her sisters, accompanied by a nephew, Wright Smith, went to Mansfield, La. and viewed the old Mansfield battle ground of 1894 and the cemtery nearby where BO many of the soldiers are buried.

Their great grandfather, Samuel J. Johnston and his four sons and four sons-in-law served in the Civil War and chances are some of them were engaged in this battle as Samuel Johnston and his large family were living in De Sota Parish, La. when the 1860 U. S. census was taken.

On the battle grounds a large museum was built and two cannons arc stationed at the front entrance. A number of Historical markers have been erected there and tho names of different divisions and their commanding officers were engraved on them.
