(AP)-A probe of housing problems in New York City Tjy the Civil Rights Commit sion will be started in February, Robert G. Storey, commission member, says. Storey, dean of the Southern Methodist University Law School . would not say whether the investigation concerned racial discrimination. He said the complaints received concerned the administration of housing facilities in New York. He pleaded ignorance on the-nature of the complaints. "We intend I to find out," he said. j Storey also was close-mouthed! on recent commission hearings into voting procedures in Alabama where it was alleged Negroes ha been deprived of voting rights. He termed the action of Alabama officials in refusing to tes tify as "regrettable and lameni able." He said he had no ide what action, if any, the Justic Department might take. Iowa Group Honored by Farm Bureau BOSTON W- Plymouth Coun ty, Iowa, women were honored b the American Farm Bureau Fee eration convention Wednesday fo their community service activ ties. The Iowa group won first plac in the national women's recogm tiou program. It is based on com munity service activities.
