The Oklahoma A.

and M. athletio cabinet, in announcing its acceptance of an invitation to meet Kansas in a playoff game, recommended to the N.CA. A. selections committee that the game be played "not earlier than March 18" at either Oklahoma City or Wichita, Kan. Dr.

F. a (Phog) Allen, Kan-sas coach, was not available for comment early today but Kansas had already agreed to the playoff game. Bids already have been extended to many of the top quintets for apV pearancea in the National Invitational and N.C.A.A. championships, Ten schools have excepted in vitations, six to the invitational oral ugii ou urn at. vv to the Eastern N.C.A.A- also at the Garden starting March 21, and one to the Western N.C.A.A. at Kansas City March 22. Kentucky, Muhlenberg, St John's of Brooklyn, Bowling Green, West Virginia and Syracuse have accepted bids to the invita tional with two teams still to be named.

-It is expected that Arizona, Border conference champion, will become the seventh entry with the other choice probably coming from1 the south. For some unexplained' reason, De Paul, last year's Invitational champa, has been bypassed despite this season's 17-5 record against tough New York university's once- beaten aggregation, generally rat ed the top team in the nation, will represent district two in the east ern half of the N.C.A.A.
