vlrs. Leath Honoree Of Dorcas SS Class The Dorcas Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church onored Mrs. Paul Brooks Leath with a dinner at Studdard's Cafe- erla Monday Evening. Miss thalene Porter was hostess. Pink and blue, class colors, were used in the floral arrangement.

Mrs. Leath vocied the Tayer. In appreciation for Mrs. Leath's 3 years, of service as a eacher, the class presented.her with a brass vase. Mrs.

Mils Mamie Lewis Feted With Shower Miss Mamie Ray Lewis, bride elect of Ray Don Kington, was honored with a shower Tuesday at home of Miss Jo Ann Wood St.

The refreshment table was laid with a white lace cloth over yellow carrying out the bride's chosen colors. Arrangements of yellow and white flowers were used throughout the party rooms. Miss Tallant directed the games and registered guests. Mrs. Naomi McGarrity ladled punch and Mrs.

work shop which will be held in Houston the first week in June was discussed. This is the first workshop of this nature to be held in Texas. At the same time a birthday luncheon honoring Mrs. Verlie Graham of Austin, president, will be held In the Shamrock Hotel. Representatives from Brownwood, who will attend the workshop, are Mrs.

Foster and Mrs. Essie Chapman. Mrs. Allcorn presented Mrs. Gertrude Wilmeth for membership in the Association.

Hostesses for next month will be Mrs. Lillie B. Fricke of Cisco and Mrs. Chapman. Twelve members attended the meeting including members from Cisco and Comanche.

Miss Helen Buris, John Kehley To Wed Miss Helen Buris and John T. Kehley's engagement has been announced by the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. G. H. Carey, 1611 Ave.

C. Mr. Kehley is the son of Mr and Mrs. John W. Kehley of Fort Worth.

Miss Buris attended Early High School. The prospective bride groom is a graduate of Brown wood High School and attended Texas Tech. At present he is em ployed by Convair in Fort Worth The wedding will be solemnizec June 16 at the home of the bride's mother. Hev. C.

A. Miller, bro ther-in-law of Miss Buris, will of ficate. Women's Golf Assn. Holds Meeting The Woman's Golf Association met Tuesday at Country Club for lunch, with Mrs. Turner Garner Mrs, Doug Klzer, Mrs.

Car Boies, Mrs. H. L. Lobstein, and Mrs. Mark Callaway as hostess es.

Guests were Mrs. Terry, mo ther of Mrs. Kizer and Miss Mar jorie Scott, guest of Mrs. Geralc Scott; Mrs. Josh Hurlbut, gues of Mrs.

John Snyder. Tables were decorated with spring flowers. Mrs. Seth Thornton presided a business after which the meeting adjourned for golf and bridge. 48 members and guests were present.
