STATE OFFICES GOVERNOR X Ray-R 401,86-4 367.038 18,439 New Fee Set for Conservation Center DES MOINES (AP) - A new fee schedule for the Conservation-Education Center at Springbrook State Park was approved by the State Conservation Commission Tuesday. Basic fee for teachers was raised from $1 a week to $5 a day. Other fees to be charged individuals and groups also were raised. Officials said the increase was necessary to make the qen- ter self-supporting. Jaycees Plan Yule Activities The Carroll Jaycees board of directors, meeting Tuesday evening at the K.C. hall, discussed plans for their Christmas baskets for the needy project. Anyone who has old dolls lo be repaired for the baskets by Carroll's Doll Lady, Mrs. Ella Stammeyer, may leave them at Lee's Store, 511 North Adams, or at Mrs. Stammeyer's home, 322 West Seventh Street. Project chairmen, Dr. Lyn Curry and Art Walker, ask that any individual or organization who would like to help with the Christmas baskets contact i them. The possibility of h a v i n g a breakfast with the K.C.s was also discussed as a way to raise funds for this Christmas project. It was anounced that Jaycee associate member dues were now $7. The next regular monthly Jaycee meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 10, due to the Veteran's Day holiday. This meeting will be held at Maple River and include a social hour following the regular meeting.
